RIM or Research in Motion recently announced the BlackBerry alliance program’s EMEA Innovation Awards winners of 2009. While running for the second consecutive year, the award showcased innovative organizations in EMEA region where the manufacturers have been coming up with innovative mobile applications as well as services for their customers on the BlackBerry platform.
Winners are categorized in seven categories. Applications demonstrate creativity, return on the investments and popularity with the users. An independent panel consisting of 13 judges sat together for selecting the winners. Such winners were named in the awards ceremony organized by BlackBerry EMEA Alliance Summit 2009.
The winners in the BlackBerry platforms are categorized as follows: -
- “Life On Blackberry” that helps the user find out what is around them and enables them searching on interactive maps, watching movie trailers as well as buying tickets.
- “Entertainment on BlackBerry” category in which the 7digital and develop IQ co created music application that helps the users of BlackBerry smart phones select and purchase music from a seven million strong catalogue of DRM free MP3 sets.
- “Connect On BlackBerry” is the category where Nimuzz enabled the smart phone users enjoy facilities of instant messaging, and other communication features including the social networking.
- “Driving Innovations in the Public Sector” is the Innova Telecom’s unique solution allowing the users to flag issues about public services and providing a workflow and approval solutions for addressing such issues.
- “Transforming Enterprise Business Performance” in which NTS developed distribution and logistic solution for internal communication process; “accelerating Innovation for Entrepreneurs” for the small and medium sized businesses, and “Delivering Service Excellence” including the popular IT desk help solutions are three other categories where awards were distributed to NTS, Elondra, and E-Office respectively.
In essence the award ceremony celebrated the success of the partners of EMEA those developed creative additions for BlackBerry Platform.
