Windows Phones Coming Out in September

July 9th, 2010

Two new Windows Phone 7 devices have been added to the list of new smart phones coming out this September. Apparently, despite Microsoft’s move to bring out their OS one month in advance, many phone makers are still planning to keep up with the new OS.

Nokia’ E7 is one interesting WP7 device as the form factor is something that plenty of users would enjoy using. The phone is much like the LG Panther – it is also a type two chassis and comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard. However, the Nokia E7 adds in the extra feature of being used like a mini-computer; it folds in like the N97.

This new form is pretty good for users who tend to use Microsoft’s Office Mobile apps a lot as it makes typing and making documents a lot easier than having to hold the phone up the whole time.

The HTC Gold is a high end smart phone that will be using Microsoft’s new OS. With a rumored 1.2 GHz CPU, this device is expected to have other matching hardware specs that would put it on top of the WP7 food chain. As one might suspect, this handset is the same phone as the previously leaked HTC Mondrian. No word has been given on why the device has had a name change, but HTC Gold certainly has more charm. Though probably most well known for Android devices like the HTC Wildfire, HTC have worked with Microsoft platforms before, having released the impressive HD2.

It is a pretty large move for Microsoft to adjust their release date by a full month, but it is something that would make their fans happier. The handset has been announced since mid February this year and it has been a very long wait. Even with all the updates and details about the upcoming OS, it is about time that they committed a final release date. WP7 will be bringing together Zune, Bing, XBL Games and more.

Nokia X3 incorporates music technology with a dose of easy use

January 30th, 2010

Nokia X3Nokia are well known for their intuitive and inspirational mobile phones designs, and most people credit Nokia with helping to develop the first mobile phones ever put into production. Nokia have released hundreds of different models of phones, for all uses, including business, social and special. Their newest phone, the Nokia X3 is designed for music and download lovers, and features many additions compared to a normal phone to make it suitable.

The phone comes with direct integration with Nokia’s Ovi download system. Ovi basically lets you download any song ever released, many movies and TV shows along with games, wallpapers and anything else you can think to download. Prices are very reasonable, and with some contract plans you even get free unlimited access to Ovi, essentially giving you over 4 million songs to download.

The phone uses a 3.2 megapixel camera built into the design, to allow you to easily take photos when out an about, in particular at perhaps a gig or music event. You can then share your photos with your fellow music lovers via the built in Bluetooth, allowing you to send anything on your phone free of charge. The phone comes with a very useful headphone jack which can take normal headphones. Many phones only take special headphones designed for the phone, which can mean replacements are a pain to find and can work out to be pricey. If you are interested in the new X3, check the available Nokia X3 contracts and pay as you go plans as there is something for everyone.

Take Your TV With You Everywhere You Go

Nokia 5330 Mobile TVNokia is introducing a brand new phone that is unlike most others. While it is pretty easy to find a phone that comes standard with video, digital camera and music playing capabilities, it is much more difficult to find one that allows individuals to watch live television programs. The Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition does just that. Users get 5.2 hours of television playback time. They can watch any of the channels that come standard with the phone or order premium channels. Individuals will be able to check their phone for program scheduling.

Though the live television features is pretty phenomenal, the 5330 does offer most of the traditional handset “stuff.”  Individual will find that the phone comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera that has digital zoom and LED flash. Persons will also be able to record and watch videos. The display is 3.4 inches, QVGA resolution and 240 x 320 pixels. It supports more then 16 million colors. The phone can be purchased in high gloss black and matt white.

Today, it is possible to purchase a quality phone with tremendous entertaining capabilities. The Nokia Mobile TV Edition is a really unique handset in that not only does it give individuals the ability to do the normal stuff, take pictures and record video, but users are now able to watch live television, directly from their phone. It will be possible for them to catch live matches and programs. Now, a person never has to miss a television show if they don’t want to because their mobile phone can go anywhere they do.

Besides this unique and impressive ability to watch television and whenever and wherever a person wants, the Nokia 5330 is a really good handset. It has a nice camera, video recording capabilities and a nice sized, quality screen. It is a phone that anyone looking for a good mobile phone should consider.

Nokia shows the world how to make an expensive phone and still make it seem affordable

December 20th, 2009

Nokia 6700 Classic GoldMany various phone companies have attempted to make rich and glossy phones and failed. Many have used gold and silver before, but the phone has either not had enough publicity, or they just set the price way too high. Some companies have even made the mistake of setting the price too low, so that they are not recuperating enough money to keep business going! Whatever has happened in the past, when Nokia announced their new phone, titled the Nokia Classic 6700 Gold Edition, everyone thought to themselves oh no, here we go again. However although the phone has not even been released yet, photographs have appeared and people seem to be reversing what they said. Instead of calling it a huge waste of money, and a waste of time, people now seem to be asking when it comes out and how they go about getting it. Wondering why? Maybe it’s because of the many amazing features that come with the phone.

The phone features a 5.0 megapixel camera. This allows you to take professional looking photographs with using a professional camera. A 5.0megapixel camera is more than even some digital cameras have, and is a great luxury to have. A 5.0megapixel digital camera could often cost $400 plus, so you are already getting a great deal. The phone comes with Nokia maps installed. This application is run on satellite navigation software, and guides you from one location to the next, using step by step directions and taking you through each individual step. This saves you time and effort when making long journeys and really can prove to be a lifeline when you get lost. Expect there to be some great Nokia 6700 Gold Edition deals in 2010 when this phone is released.

New Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition navigates stays very cheap

December 17th, 2009

Nokia 2710 Navigation EditionTurn by turn directions may be a very common aspect to many satellite car systems, with such minor details as signposts and speeding cameras even being programmed in to be mentioned, yet it is still relatively rare to see on mobile phones, unless you are looking at the very high end VZ Navigator. Said to be the most affordable navigation device ever made, the Nokia 2710 features like a normal phone along with all the normal features of a phone but also has this amazing capability to act like a navigation system, and it does it very well as well.

The navigation program is displayed on a fantastic 2.2 inch screen, small enough to be handy to fit in your pocket, yet large enough to be of use in the car without you having to strain hard to read what is written. The phone features many extras, including a digital compass, a 2.0megapixel camera, perfect for taking photographs of your journey along the way, or just something in general that you feel like taking. With a built in FM radio and a music player, you will never be bored again whilst on your own.

Although Nokia have not released an official release date, they have stated that the phones will be sold at $163, so it’s easy to see why there has been so much interest already. If you want to get your hands on one of these affordable and useful phones, then you will have to wait until approximately the 2nd quarter of next year, as that is when the release date is expected to be.

Nokia’s N900 Getting Launched in the US

November 19th, 2009

Nokia N900Nokia’s N900 is finally heading to American soil; the little Nokia smart phone is available for 650 USD on Amazon. While eager buyers who have already pre-ordered the device can expect to receive theirs arriving anytime soon, those who are hoping to snag this phone for free on a carrier deal will have to drag themselves off to the nearest store because as of the time of this writing, this device will only be sold independently.

No SIM lock is a great advantage, though there are still those who prefer the convenience of getting their phone purchased along with a plan. The lack of subsidized deals for the N900 is not a new strategy, but is still a surprising move from Nokia.

The Nokia N900 is from Nokia’s acclaimed N-Series devices. This is their high end smart phone line and all the N-Series phones sport a distinct superiority over other Nokia devices.

The N900 has the dimensions of 110.9 x 59.8 x 18mm and it weighs a hefty 181 grams. Still, all that size accounts for the heavy duty phone and its 1320 mAh battery. The device itself sports a big 3.5 inch display with 800 x 480 pixels of resolution. The screen shows excellent image quality and sufficient brightness. With the 5 mega pixel camera, the phone works well when taking quick images or videos.

The real highlight of the N900 is its Maemo 5 operating system. Nokia has already announced that they will now be using the Maemo on all their N-Series devices and that by 2012, all their high end N-Series will be using the said OS. This does not mean that Nokia will be dropping the Symbian as it still remains as the OS of choice for their GSM devices and possibly, their lower end smart phones as well.

It is a little larger than 10 inches and weights slightly under 3 pounds, with an appearance identical to a normal size laptop when operational and an outer glossy finish of aluminum.

A useful feature of the Nokia 3G Booklet is its running time and battery life, which is excellent for the people who need to work or stay connected while traveling. Nokia 3G Booklet has a battery running time for 12 hours, which is excellent for any portable device with its specifications. Nokia 3G Booklet will be powered by the amazing Intel Atom Z530 processor with a speed of 1.6 GHz, which is astounding for a mini laptop, along with 1 GB RAM, and 120 GB hard drive.

Nokia 3G Booklet comes preinstalled with Windows 7, which features some interesting and convenient user interface features, which will make life easier when it comes to surfing the net and organizing your data. Nokia 3G Booklet also features full connectivity support with built in 3G and Wi-Fi. And that is not all, it also features a 1.3 mega pixel camera and integrated assisted GPS receiver as well.

Don’t like the big Nokia N97? Nokia N97 Mini at your service

October 1st, 2009

Nokia N97 MiniA lot of you had been extremely skeptical as to whether there was actually a real Nokia N97 Mini, despite the large number of unofficial leaks. Even Nokia Conversationswas rampant with debates about it. However, there have been some Nokia N97 Mini Reviews which is supposed to be a more pared down version of the Nokia N97, which is the flagship of Nokia.

The preview showed us that in addition to being small in the actual sense than the Nokia N97, the Nokia N97 mini will come with 8 GB of internal memory as opposed to the 32 GB internal memory of the N97. There isn’t a D-pad, which explains the smaller size of the phone. The keypad is also smaller which makes it a bit uncomfortable for those of you who have pudgy fingers. Though the camera itself is the same as that on the N97, the protective lens, for some strange reason, has been dropped, exposing it to dust and scratches.

Looking on the positive side, the N97 Mini gets rid of the plastic battery cover of the N97 with a more posh metal one and has a better build quality overall. Kinetic scrolling is also present to enable you to navigate through the menu easily.

However, the pricing has taken nearly everyone by surprise. It is only 100 euro (£90) less than that of its big brother, which seems quite strange to a lot of people. Though the Nokia N97 was a bit over – priced, the price difference between the N97 and the Mini version could be justified. When the big brother is selling for 400 euro, you can’t possibly expect a slightly pared down version to sell for less than 300 euro!

Release date hasn’t been announced, but we expect it to be available on cheaper N97 Mini contracts upon its release.
