It’s been months of endless rumors, tips and leaked pictures of the Motorola droid. From the looks of it, the offering does have a high-end look, with slightly thicker packaging compared to the iPhone, but thinner than your usual QWERTY slider unit.
There are even plenty of talks that Google had direct hand in the development stages of the Motorola Droid, although no comment from either party was ever heard. If true, then we can say that it will be a droid to beat, but with not much difficulty, considering other high-end mobile devices are currently under work as well.
The leaked photos also showed the Motorola droid to have a capacitive touch display. Some are betting heavily it’s got between 3.7-inch screen, although some who have seen the pictures think it’s a little bit bigger. Although it’s certain that it will come with a desktop cradle charger, until it is released we will not now its multimedia station offering. Other details that had been leaked include CMDA connectivity, GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 5megapixel camera, as tips mentioned, would sure be a delight for shutterbugs. Particularly because we’ve been told as well that the camera could capture videos at DVD pedigree. This means being able to have 24 frames per second, zooming capacity and all that LED flashes and auto-focus abilities as well.
Other information about the Motorola Droid we have so far include a Webkit which includes HTML 5 and a Flash 10 support, a built-in 16 GB microSD and it has Amazon MP3, Facebook and Google applications pre-installed as well. If it could support the Google voice search, it should be just one point below being the perfect droid. The one point being: it should be available in the market soon.
